Yesterday I received a direct mail piece from stamps.com that said “print postage in 3 simple steps…” It made me a little nostalgic. My dad was a mail carrier for 30 years until he passed in 1989–I miss my dad. He lived by the postman’s creed, no rain, sleet or snow will stop your mail…. I think I got my work ethic from him. Thanks Dad. Do I want to use the stamps.com CD to install a local post office on my computer? Umm, no I don’t think so, dad would be appalled, for one, and two how many darn apps can one computer take. I’m apped out!

Apple seek to Reverse iPhone Jailbreaking ruling

I just read this on another blog

Apple isn’t happy that the US government have been jailbreaking this iPhones.

A spokesperson from Apple told the US Copyright Office that “Current jailbreak technologies now in widespread use utilize unauthorized modifications to the copyrighted bootloader and operating system, resulting in the infringement of the copyrights in those programs”.

In July of last year, the United States government ruled in the favor of iPhone jailbreaks and unlocks as legal, as long as they were not used for piracy purposes. It will be interesting to see if the government take on board Apple’s request.
